Legal standard for granting a divorce
A
Florida is a no-fault state. The marriage must either (1) be irretrievably broken or (2) involve mental incapacity of one spouse for the past 3 years.
The court can order marriage counseling if both parties desire.

A
The Florida court can have jurisdiction to grant the divorce if the petitioner was domiciled in Florida for 6 months prior to the filing.
