What is Diversity?
Practice or quality of including or involving people from a range of
- social
- ethnic backgrounds
- genders
- sex
What is Teamworking?
- Collaborative effort of a group to achieve a common goal
- or to complete a task in the most effective way
What is Inclusion?
Providing equal access to opportunities for people who might otherwise be excluded
Eg due to physical, mental disabilities or minority groups
How are team members selected and appointed?
- If a role within the team/company becomes available, this will be posted on the G&S website as well as social media. HR and the department will select CV’s that have been sent in
- Next, those who have been selected through suitable skills and experience will be interviewed face to face by HR and the department head, there may be need for a second round of interviews
What is your role when a new member of your team starts?
Firstly, introduce myself and explain some of my roles within the team as well as potential tasks they could help out on to get a feel for the work. I would give advice through or help they require

- Vary between teams and within G&S but the same idea of Top down

Explain what inclusive Communication is?
- Communicating by using inclusive language, what words to use and understanding potential negative words
- Making communication accessible (languages, brail and various platforms)

What is unconscious bias?
- Underlying attitudes and stereotypes that people unconsciously attribute to a person or group that may affect how they engage with those people or group

- UK Gov legislation that legally protects people from discrimination in the work place and in wider society
