Most return to normal after min or days. Recurrance unlikely. Tx by retrieve lost memory. hypnosis or sodium amobarbital or lorazepam during interview help. subseq psychotherapy. ativan is safer than sodium amobarbital

sudden unexpected travel away from home or work plus inability to recall past. Confusion about personal identity or assumption of new identity. Not due to dissociative ID disorder or physiological effect of a substance or medical D. sx cause impairment in social or occupational fun

often assume new ID. Rare. Predispose by alco, MDD, history of head trauma, epilepsy. Associated with stressful life event. Last hr-day to longer. Will assume old ID wo remembering time of fugue. Same tx as dissociatie amnesia
