Thrust mode display
green - N1 limit ref
— fmc not computing
A/T LIM?
FMC not providing AT system with N1 limit values. A/T using degraded N1 thrust limit from EEC.
Manuel N1 bugs set affect on AT?
NONE
White N1 command sectors?
Momentary diff actual and commanded N1. Max differenc
N1 Maximum Bug
Amber
N1 for full rated thrust
computed by EEC all phases
Upper limit for A/T
Thrust Reverser indication?
AMBER REV - TR moved from stowed position
GREEN REV - TR deployed
TAI indication
GREEN TAI - cowl anti ice valve open
AMBER TAI - cowl anti ice valve not in position related to engine anti ice switch.
EGT indications RED lines?
MAX TO limit
Max inflight start limit if start limit redline not shown
EGT amber band?
lower end - max cont EGT limit
EGT start limit red line?
until stable IDLE @ 59% N2 / 66% MAX
ground starts - some inflight start as per EEC
EGT readouts?
white - normal range
amber - max cont limit reached
**color change inhibited 5min @ TO or GA normal ops
**color change inhibited 10min @ TO or GA, if engine out condition 5min within first 5min of inhibited.
RED - Max TO limit or start limit exceed
Ground - both engines shut down - red box = exceedance.
White blinking - EEC senses condition may lead to HOT START or STALL during ground start. EEC should auto cut fuel for hot start of stall.
Engine fail alert
AMBER - engine operating below sustainable IDLE <50%N2 and ESL in IDLE.
ENGINE FAIL ALERT REMAINS?
engine recover
ESL to cutoff
engine fire switch pulled
CREW ALERTS
START VALVE OPEN alert?
amber
steady - start valve open - air supplied to started.
*blinking - uncommanded opening of start valve. Solid amber boxes in all unannunciated positions. all 3 boxes blink for 10s, then alert steady and amber boxed removed.
LOW OIL PRESS alert?
STEADY - oil P at/below red line
BLINKING - same as above
OIL FILTER BYPASS?
STEADY - impending bypass of scavenge oil filter / oil supply filter on MAX
BLINKING - same as above
THRUST
AMBER
STEADY
Thrust more/less commanded TH
conjunction amber N1 command sector
FUEL FLOW
amber
steady
engine FF abnormally high compared to FMC expected FUEL FLOW.
Blinking inhibited?
TO - 80kts - 400ft RA or 30s after reaching 80kts(occurs first)
LANDING - below 200ft RA - 30s after touchdown
Blinking inhibited - ALERTS REMAIN STEADY!
Secondary engine indications displayed:
CDS receive power / MDS MAX
Selected by MFD
INFLIGHT - ESL cutoff
INFLIGHT - engine fails
secondary engine parameter exceeds limit
Motoring MAX?
Bowed Rotor Motoring (BRM), logic active during engine start on ground.
N2 readout RED?
limit exceeded.
Ground, after engine shutdown - RED BOX = inflight exceedance.
MAGENTA X BLD indication?
crossbleed air recommended for inflight start.Displayed when airspeed less than required for windmilling start.
Fuel flow rate?
fuel flow to ENGINE.
OIL PRESS readout/pointer?
white - normal
amber - caution
red - limit reached
LOW OIL PRESS AMBER BAND
caution range
variable depending on N2 % RPM above 65% N2
amber band not displayed below 65% N2
Low OIL PRESS REDLINE
oil press operating limit
Oil quantity readout?
usable oil
LO white for low oil
Oil quantity decrease START, TO CLIMB.
normal.
correct indication level flight.
Oil quantity ZERO?
normal if windmilling N2 RPM below 8%
N1 command sector, MAX?
AMBER
thrust more than commanded thrust
Thrust less than commanded thrust
displayed conjunction with THRUST alert for engine.
THRUST?
Amber
steady -
thrust more commanded TH
Thrust less commanded Th
