A

frequency data can be represented in a bar chart
- height of each bar represents the frequency of each item
- suitable for data that is not continuous

  • similar to a bar chart except the area within the bars must be proportional to the frequency represented
  • continuous data — cannot draw data in categories
  • no gaps between the bars
