Motor, usually presents as LMNL of the upper extremity & an UMNL of the lower extremity, muscle weakness, both atrophy & spasticity, dysarthria, dysphagia, dyspnea

Neurological effects of vitamin B12 deficiency, Glove and stocking paresthesias. IRREVERSIBLE
Syringomyelia “Superman”
Fluid filled cavities, present at birth, expand in adulthood, shawl or cape-like parasthesia (loss pain & temp: LATERAL SPINOTHALAMIC tract
Alzheimer’s
Neuro-tangles- presenile dementia, occurs in 50-60 y.o.
Parkinson’s aka (PARALYSIS AGITANS)
Resting tremor, postural instability, muscular rigidity, mask-like face, shuffling gait, LEWY bodies
Cerebral Palsy
Anoxia at birth, does not progress
Poliomyelitis
Can affect both CNS & PNS, paralysis
Neurofibroma
Benign nerve sheath tumor, genetically inherited, physical disfiguration, pain, cognitive disability
Progressive Bulbar Palsy
Difficulty chewing, swallowing & talking, Poor prognosis
RSDS (Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome) aka Sudek’s Atrophy aka Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPs)
Pain following injury, autonomic changes, loss of hair, increased or no sweat (Autonomic)
Horner’s Syndrome
Interruption of sympathetics: Ptosis, Miosis, Anhydrosis (Autonomic)
