Who can be dismissed
All players including GK but not subs committing YC offences
How do you signal dismissal
YC + point with both arms to dismissal area
How long is dismissal?
10 mins in a 90 minute match (10-15% of playing time)
When does dismissal period begin?
What time does it include?
When can the player come back?
Once player leaves FOP
All time, including when ball is off FOP
When ball is out of play at end of dismissal time
Can a dismissed player be subbed?
Only at the end of their time out and if the team has subs left to make
What happens if there is dismissal time left over at the end of the first half?
At the end of the second half?

Can a player who has been dismissed take part in penalties even if their time is not over?
Yes
What happens if a dismissed player commits a YC/RC card offence on their dismissed time?
Not allowed back to the game and cannot be subbed
What are the 2 dismissal systems used by competitions?
system A - for all YC offences
system B - for some YC offences
Explain system A temporary dismissals
All YC offences are punished with dismissal
If a player receives a second YC in the same match:
- serve a second dismissal period and not return
- the team can sub them after their second dismissal period if they have subs left
Explain system B temporary dismissals
Some YC offences are punished by dismissal, others are punished by YC but no dismissal
A player with 2 YC is sent off (RC) even if one/both cautions are for a temporary dismissal offence
