diff diagnosis -psorias, allergic dermatitis , trucal lesions
therapy -medical shampois abd ointments
roseacea
chronic inflam facial dermatosis
key factors- flushing and inflammation
clin features
subtype stage 1 - flushing and erythema - ruptured blood vessels but no papules and pustules
stage 2 persistent erythrma no papules and pustules
stage 3 - rhinophyma -swollen nose with sebaceous gland hyperplasis and fibrosis
ruptured vessels thickening of skin and wings look like a trolls nose
vestibular folliculitis
inflammation of hair follicles of vestibule of nose
s.aureus
symptoms- swelling and erythema
nasal furncle
-deep folliculitis with spread into surrounfing tissue and can cause accum of pus and dead tissue
can lead to abscess formation and pus formation
symptoms -pain, fever, headache, lymph node swelling
complication-thrombosis of cavernous sinus , sepsis and meningitis
treat- atbs , and drainage of supparative focus
