bursae
fluid-filled sac that prevent muscle from rubbing against the bone

auto-immune disease: destroys and attacks the body’s joints
bursitis
inflammation of the bursae, often repetitive pressure of the elbows (student elbow/olecranon bursitis)
- tender to touch and treated with anti-inflammatory medicine
tendonitis
overuse inflammation of the tendon, microtearing (ex. achilles tendonitis)
sprain
an injury that happens when the ligaments get overly stretched or torn
osteoporosis
increased spaces/pores causing weakened and less dense bones
dislocation
when a bone has been shifted out of place
scoliosis
curvature of the spine (s-shaped), idiopathic cause
kyphosis
hunchback: exaggerated curved upper back
lordosis
swayback: exaggerated curved lower back
