17
Q

A

When heart cannot pump enough blood to meet bodies need

18
Q

Obesity

A

Having a high portion of body fat - a condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the point that it negatively affects health

19
Q

Risks of obesity (general)

A

Diabetes, heart disease, stroke, aneurysm, hypertension, osteoarthritis, gallbladder disease

20
Q

Surgical risks of the obese

A

Higher risk of infection, blood clots, wound complication, and blood loss

21
Q

Surgical difficulties of operating on the obese

A

More tissue to transect, visibility obscured, access to key structures more difficult, positioning patient is challenging
