Describe disease notifications
A
- As soon as the notifiable disease is suspected, it should be sent to the consultant in communicable disease control (CDCC). The CDCC then goes on to facilitate the appropriate action to investigate and control spread.
- Some diseases may be under-notified or over-notified, which may give a false representation of disease within the population
