Stages of Pathology in History

A

Pre biological: people dying of plague… have disease because you sinned!
Anatomical: What was actually going on in bodies?
Cellular Pathology: Looked at cells in microscope to learn about disease.
Molecular Pathology: Looking at molecules to find disease, ex. Blots!

Disease vs Illness

A

Disease is a biological concept… ex… has a virus! tissues organs, or bodies get disease! Illness is questions/concerns patient will have… ex. how will it affect my life? People get illnesses. Not just the biology.. but all the other stuff!
