A
- Can have wealth and a relationship with God so long as you give it to those in need
- Wealth = independent = fewer distractions = closer to God
- No-one can be expected to give up everything
- Every right to enjoy what he had worked for

A
- Path = evil + alternative ideas push away word
- Rocky ground = start off with good intentions but quickly lose interest
- Among thorns = try hard but persecutions + everyday pressures get in way
- Message that faith only grows in certain places discourages

- Most not prepared to give up everything
- Most today not prepared to lay down life for beliefs
- Caring for one’s family is more important than giving them up for Jesus

- Any difficulty is worth tolerating if you gain eternal life
- Millions of Christians today who don’t find it too difficult

- Should follow w/o question
- Shouldn’t be attached to worldly posessions
- Should completely trust Jesus
- Shows for everyone, not just the good
- Christians must welcome outcasts of society

- People still claim to cast them out
