The net movement of particles down a concentration gradient

What is facilitated diffusion?
A
The same as simple diffusion but it is aided by a protein

Why does glucose use facilitated diffusion?
A
because they are charged molecules meaning they would react with the bi-layers hydrophilic interior
because the molecules are too large to pass through the partially permeable membrane
