What is meant by differential WBC count?
A
The determination of the relative number of each type of WBC present in the body, it determines the percentage of each type of leukocyte present and assess the erythrocyte & platelet morphology

What is the wrights stain?
A
A dye/stain that enables us to count the number of WBC it contains eosin it is acidic, (stains the basic component of the cell), methylene blue it is basic (stains the acidic component of the cell) & methanol which is a fixative (does not allow any further changes in the cell and makes them adhere to the glass slide
