They do not believe in pacifism, but in Jihad which is translated into holy war or my struggle. Jihad has two elements in greater and lesser. The greater is the struggle of yourself and making the community perfectly Muslim. The lesser refers to a struggle outside yourself in the form of conflict.

Muhammad is a exemplar for other Muslims and as he fought in just wars Muslims must do the same.

In the Hadith, Muhammad says that Muslims must fight in just wars and as he is the final prophet his word must be followed.

The Qur’an shows that those who have fought in just wars will be ensured a place in heaven which would be something they would otherwise not have.
