Why do people have different energy needs?

due to their person

A

Resting Metabolic Rate :

  • (muscle needs more energy to fatty tissue; higher muscle proportion - high metabolic rate)
  • Physically bigger people have high metabolic rate to small: bigger people need more energy
  • Men’s are generally higher than women’s due to more muscle
  • Regular exercise builds muscle and boosts metabolic rate.
