A

The act said the US wouldn’t give any aid to any “belligerent nation” (this was the neutrality act)
Wanted to avoid US ships being involved in the cross fire so other countries had to send their ships to pick up the trade

They would lend weapons etc. To countries who would have pay it back
Benefitted agricultural sector as merchant boats were being sunk + there was a lack of food in Europe. The stored food could be sold
By 1945 agricultural income had gone up by 250%

A

The new deal cut out the “deadwood” in the economy
Poor share croppers had abandoned their small holdings (AAA) and became industrial workers
Inefficient coal miners and textile factories closed
The new deal revived the economy in some way (EBA and EBRA)
