Constipation
A
- treat with combo of coffee and water
- fecal impaction: the fecal matter becomes solidified and can’t be pooped out, can lead to sepsis/ infection

- treat with BRAT diet (banana, rice, apples, toast)

A
- monitor for worsening S/S
- cranberry juice and hydration
- no packaged cranberry juice with sugars, only real ones

- rebound pain: no pain when you press but pain when you let go
- melina: blood digested and comes out in vomit or stool

A
- water bound parasites get into your system
- 5-7 days to notice symptoms
- let it run its course unless it gets worse

Hemorrhagic stroke
A
Rupture in an artery taking blood to the brain so blood doesn’t get to the brain
- can happen due to trauma or aneurisms that burst
- give clotting agents

Ischemic stroke
A
Blood clot in one of the arteries going to the brain so no blood can get to the brain
- can happen due to thrombus/ embolus
- give blood thinners
