What can happen to fecal samples over two hours old?
A
Dehydration, eggs hatch, larva leaves, new larva comes in, difficult to work with.

What do we evaluate a sample for?
A
Plot, consistency, visible parasites- Be descriptive!

What things can you see in a fecal sample?
A
Hair, fleas, fat droplets, yeast, mites

How do we evaluate flukes?
A
Fecal sediment, not float since eggs are too heavy
