Cerebrovascular

• Have you had a stroke/TIA
• Have you ever lost of control or sensation in your arms and legs
• Have you ever had trouble speaking or noticed your face drooping

Cardiovascular

• Have you ever had a heart attack?
• Do you ever get chest pain or SOB?

Peripheral vascular

• Do you ever get pain on walking

Question 2

What questions should be asked to assess for the presence of microvascular complications of diabetes?

Answer 2

Retinopathy

• Any changes in vision?
• Do you have regular check ups with an optometrist/opthalmologist?
• Do you have trouble reading you insulin meter?

Peripheral neuropathy?

• Pain/tingling/numbness in feet?
• Ulcers?
• Rest pain?

Nephropathy

• Kidney failure?
