What is the management of DKA?
A
RIPAS -
Rehydrate with 2L Hartmann’s over 2hr
Insulin - 6 units then 6 units per hour
Potassium - give K if less than 5.5mmol/L
Acidosis - if pH is less that 7.3 then contact HDU, if less than 7.0 then give IV HCO3
Stomach aspiration
