Pathophysiology

A

2 forms - central and nephrogenic

Congenital or acquired

Most nephrogenic cases are secondary to other diseases (cushing’s, pyelonephritis, hypercalcemia, severe infections)

Caused by abnormalities in the formation or activity of ADH (AVP)
