what is diabetes
A
- when digestion the food is broken down into glucose for energy
- the pancreas and organ that is near the stomach makes hormone called insulin which helps glucose get to the cells of our body
- diabetes cause there to be not enough insulin to be produced or the insulin does not work properly
- this causes sugar build up in the blood

what is type 1 diabetes
A
- the pancreas unable to produce insulin
- starts in childhood or young adulthood
- treated with injections and diet control
- hereditary plays a role in this type of diabetes

what is type 2 diabetes
A
- not enough insulin is produced or not working properly
- starts in old people and childhood, teenagers, people who are obese due to poor diet
- treated with a diet that includes complexes carbohydrates
