What is diabetes?
A
Occurs when the body cannot produce enough insulin or the insulin produced does not work efficiently.

Types of Diabetes
A
Type 1, Type 2, Hypoglycemia & Hyperglycemia

What is Type 1 diabetes?
A
Commonly found in children / adolescents. Occurs when pancreas lose ability to make insulin.

What is Type 2 diabetes?
A
Occurs in older people and is related to diet and lifestyle. Produces insulin but it does not work efficiently.

What is Hypoglycemia?
A
It occurs in people with Type 1 diabetes when they have low blood sugar.

A
A casualty with high blood sugars.
