Why does Lord Henry go visit his Uncle?

Who was Lady Margaret Devereux and what did she do?
She was Dorian’s mother. She ran away with a poor foot soldier, later
marrying him and bearing his child.
Why does Lord Henry refer to Dorian as the son of Love and Death?
His mother loved a poor soldier. Her father, Lord Kelso could not accept
her marriage to him and paid a ‘Belgian brute’ to kill him. He took his
daughter home. Within a year, she died.

Why is Lord Henry interested by Dorian’s background?
He finds his background fascinating and romantic.
What does Henry plan to do to Dorian?
He would dominate him. He would make that wonderful spirit his own.
Lord Henry will experience life through Dorian’s character. He delights in
the thought of making Dorian’s wonderful spirit his own. He will influence
Dorian’s development.
What do we learn about Lord Henry at his aunt’s luncheon?
He is Hedonistic and selfish. He believes humanity is the “world’s original
sin.” He is seen as a heartless person who considers Dorian’s life a viable
medium of artistic expression with no thought of the consequences.
What does Lord Henry mean when he says “I can sympathize with
everything, except suffering”? pg. 49
He believes one’s life should be spent appreciating beauty and seeking out
pleasure rather than searching for ways to alleviate suffering and pain.
Which words or actions of Dorian show that Henry has successfully
influenced him?
He breaks his promise to visit Basil and goes with Lord Henry to the park
instead.
