A

A

If the breaker is rated at 480A, then you can pick up 432A. If the breaker is rated at 600A, then you can pick up 540A.

What 10 things will cause a DFA team to go into manual?

A
  1. Parent breaker ground relaying out.
  2. Parent breaker reclosing disabled.
  3. Parent breaker in local.
  4. Parent breaker open for 2 minutes.
  5. Normally closed switch communication fail.
  6. Normally closed switch in local.
  7. Normally closed switch open.
  8. Normally open switch communication fail.
  9. Normally open switch in local.
  10. Normally open switch closed.

A

How do you set up clearances with Telemetered Switches?

A
  1. Notify $SEMDIST, if customer team only.
  2. Open telemetered switch via supy or locally. If the switch is part of a team, the team will drop to manual.
  3. Verify open, lock and tag in the field.
  4. Open/verify open bypass switch, lock and tag.
  5. Open jumpers if overhead or decouple device if underground.
  6. Place clearance and abnormal tags in both OMS and EMS.

What needs to be done to a Team Switch inside of a clearance?

A
  1. Notify $SEMDIST
  2. Place team in manual.
  3. Place information tags in both OMS and EMS.

When should Teams be returned back to auto?

A
  1. When switches return to normal state.
  2. When hold tags are cancelled.
  3. When reclosers are returned after being taken out for trouble shooters or crews.
  4. When clearances are cancelled, and the system is returned to normal.
  5. When switches with problems are repaired and returned to DOC for use.
  6. Any other circumstance causing telemetered switches to go to manual mode including setting up circuits, summer high ground amps, circuit outages, and after load shed, etc.
