How long can a Holter monitor be worn for and how many leads does it have?

it can be worn from a minimum of 24 hours up to 2 weeks and can have anywhere from 2 to 7 leads

Why is an ILR (implantable loop recorder) more effective at capturing fleeting arrhythmic events than a Holter monitor or external loop recorder?
A
An ILR have prolonged monitoring ( up to 3 years) and also has the ability to auto-activate when an arrhythmia is present thus allowing episodes to be captured independent of patient activation of the device.
