What is FRANK’S dependency theory?

A
  • His theory suggests that capitalism, colonialism and slavery stunt development of poorer countries, which kept them dependent on other countries.
  • It is a power system as it has caused dominant countries to always be superior than the less developed
  • because colonists take resources and then leave suddenly, confusing them on how to run independently, causing a rush to develop poorer countries are forced to sell the resources they do have for cheaper amounts
