Q

What are the four dimensions of functional status?

A

1.) Capacity - max potential for the person to perform (a task, needs) , these are not directly translating into everyday performance, just their max potential

2.) Performance - everyday life performance

3.) Reserve - the difference between functional capacity and performance. dormant capabilities that are applied when needed

4.) Capacity Utilization - A person realizes their potential and so their capacity, exertion, and effort increases.

so performance meets the capacity and the reserve decreases
