Level of development means how developed a country is aswell as economic strength (measured by gdp per capita and literacy rates)

What is HDI
HDI refers to life expectancy and literacy rates
Explain Rostows model - starting with traditional society.
Traditional society, pre conditions for take off, take off, drive to maturity, high mass consumption.
What does primary sector include
extraction or using earths materials (agriculture, fishing)
What does secondary sector include
Take raw materials and process them into goods(steel making, factories)
What does high tech secondary include
Use of advanced technology (medical equipment)
What does tertiary sector include
Tertiary sector is the service sector (retail, education)
What does the quaternary sector include
Provide information services (computing, ICT)
What is globalisation
The process of the world becoming interconnected (people, money)

Why is aid a benefit
Aid is a benefit because countries can help each other in returnfor a produce or use of resources
Why is tourism a benefit
Tourism helps gain money which is spent and then taxed towards the government
What is a top down project (large scale, government and TNCs involved, positive multiplier effect)
Top down projects benefit the country in the long run
Whats a bottom up project (small scale, locals involved, targets poor)
Bottom up is a project which will benefit the poor people quicker
