HS2 railway in England between North and South means more job opportunities in North and encourages investment and therefore development of the area

HS2 will be very expensive, take a long time (20 years) and can cause people to relocate
Bottom-Up developed country advantages and explanation
Highgate School supports LAET which means more children less fortunate to go to independent schools are able to have the same opportunities after School
Bottom-Up developed country disadvantages
Very small project, only effects one sixth form. Now it has proven to work, other schools are also doing the same but not at different places
Developing country Top-Down advantages
GERD is a hydroelectric source which allows Ethiopia to develop other parts and forget about energy.
Developing country Top-Down disadvantages
Very expensive to run. Created tension between Ethiopia and Egypt because it reduces flow of water into Egypt which is very reliant on the river Nile
Developing country Bottom-Up advantages
Rain harvesting in Uganda means people don’t have to track to get water and can use that time more effectively. Population will be healthier with clean water
Developing country Bottom-Up disadvantages
Uganda is very dry so isn’t too much rain and is unpredictable. Not many can afford so get loans which leads to debt.
