Economic indicators measure the wealth in a society
GDP(Gross Domestic Product)
-total value of goods and services produced by a country in a year
GNP(Gross National Product)
-GDP plus income earned by nationals of the country even across the boarders

-Raw materials made into something useful eg. wood into table

- How wealth is shared in a country
- Ranges from 0-1
- 0 representing full equality, wealth is shared equally amongst population
- 1 representing full inequality

-Life expectancy, Level of education and GDP Per capita

What is a demographic indicator of development and provide examples?
Demographic indicators give specific information about the population of a country
- Life expectancy-The higher the better the healthcare system
- Infant mortality rate-The less deaths the better healthcare

Access to resources
-Natural resources aren’t split equally over the Earth thus where there is an abundance of resources, there will be more development

- Colonization and wars affect development
- Former colonies are less developed than the countries that colonized them

- Access to education determines level of development
- W/o labor force ,population cant move from agriculture to industry

-When growth rate of a population outstrips its ability to feed, levels of development will decrease
