Destruction of Dangerous Drugs by consultant pharmacist
Inventory is required
Drugs must be destroyed in a manner to render the drugs unfit for human consumption and disposed of properly
Destruction is witnessed by a peace officer or agent of the board or the Texas department of human services, or Texas department of state health services or two of the following facility administer, director of nursing, or a licensed nurse
Destruction of Dangerous Drugs by a Waste Disposal Service
Inventory required
Drugs are placed in a sealed container and presence of witnesses

Document date of destruction, name and address of Dispensing pharmacy, prescription number, name and strength of drug and signature of pharmacist
Destruction of Stock Dangerous Drugs
Pharmacist must be licensed by TSBP and must render the drugs unfit for human consumption and disposed of properly
Records of destruction are not required
Drug recalls***
Require PIC to have a policy and procedure for handling prescriptions drug recalls to ensure the drug has been removed from inventory within 24 hours of notice of the recall

It is unlawful to except prescription drugs that have been dispensed for purpose of resale
Except possible from a nursing home
Prescription Pick Up Location
May not be picked up, collected or solicited from any location other than a Pharmacy licensed by TSBP

Pharmacy Balance Registration and Inspection
Balance is required for nonsterile compounding
Balance must be registered with TSBP
Pilot or Demonstration Projects
Board may waive the rule to allow the pilot project but cannot waive laws
Centralized Prescription Dispensing
Allows Class A or C pharmacies to outsource prescription drug order Dispensing to another Class A or C pharmacy or a Class E but must be common ownership or have a written agreement, must share common database or have other technology to allow access, must provide notice to patients, some unique identifier of the central fill pharmacy

Allows Class A or C pharmacies to outsource prescription or medication order processing to another Class A or C pharmacy or a Class E but must be common ownership or have a written agreement, must share common database or have other technology to allow access, must provide notice to patients

Satiate Pharmacy
This rule allows Class A or C Pharmacy to operate a satellite location which is NOT separately licensed
Prescriptions are dropped off at the satellite location and then sent to the Class A or C Pharmacy to be filled; the filled prescriptions are then sent back to the satellite location where the patient picks up the prescription and counseling is provided
