Describing sessions Flashcards
Describe Session 1 of a PDP?
I started session 1 by writing a short-term goal in my training diary. I did this by referring to the SMART acronym.
I then did a warm-up that involved 5 minutes of light jogging around the court and dynamic stretches.
Following this, I did continuous training for 20 minutes at a steady pace around the outside of my handball court. I did this with a partner who had similar CRE levels to me and we counted the number of laps we both did.’
At the end of my session, I did a cool down that saw me do a very slow jog followed by some static stretches.
I finished my session by writing my thoughts and feelings about the session in my training diary. At this point, I wrote down if I reached my short-term goal and what my next steps for session 2 were.
