Describe Questions Flashcards
Describe a method used to collect data on a factor impacting a performance
a performance wheel is a circle siminalr to a dart board on a peice of paper. The circle has 6 segments, each segment is further split into 10 equal parts. Each segment has a heading from ( whatever factor the question asks) for example ( factors). The 10 equal parts are numbered from 1- 10, 1 being poor, 10 being model performer. After the performance you would colour in the number of how well you showed that factor throughou the performance.
Describe a method used to collect data on a physical factor
12 minute cooper run.
This was carried out on a 400m track and recorded how far i was able to run in 12 miniutes. Someone counted how many laps i completed in this time.
This information helped create a baseline before i started my training programe so that i could create new goals and training.
Describe one method used to monitor the development of emotional factors throughout a Personal Development Plan
Training Diary
An A4 booklet that allows you to keep track of how you trained, there is a space in the diary to write down how you felt before, during and after the game. Write down any emotional factor such as anger and anxiety.
Training diary should always be filled out staright after the training session so its very accurate and you dont forget anything.
Describe one long term goal for the development of emotional factors
One goal i would like to achieve in the next 6 weeks is to take my level of anxiety from a 1/10 to 10/10
Describe a model performer and/or model performance for social factors
ex1. good team dynamics, get along with your teammates. If you dont have good team dynamics then you could end up falling out or shouting at eachother meaning the team is less likey to work well with eachother since they are annoyed and then the team wont be as strong which then leads to mistakes.
ex2. inclusion, all the team is included and no ones left out. If someone isnt fully included in the team then thats going to have an impact on them as a player since they wont want to play at their full potential beacuse they are scared, then impacts the team since they have one less player playing as good as they can be which can lead to mistakes and causing the team do not do as well
Describe your physical strenghts and weaknesses in comparison to a model performer
ex1. One of my physical weaknesses is stamina in a 90 miniute game of football which means i cannot keep up and i get tired easily. Whereas compared to a model performer they would be able to keep up with their teammates and be able to play at their best throughout the whole game.
ex2. I feel anxious when starting my dance and this shows itself in me being a fraction of a second late to begin the first motif. A model performer would be right on time and not let her nerves affect her at any point
Describe a data collection for physical factors
We played a single game of pickle ball to 5 points while my partner was at the side with a games analysis sheet that had a table on it with titles across the top such as serve, forehand and backhand. While my partner is watching me they marked down ticks on areas i did well and crosses on areas i didnt do as well. After i got my sheet back i counted the ticks and crosses, then i was aware on my strengths and weaknesses.
Decribe an approach to develop physical factors
One approach to develop your physical factors is fartlek training. Set out a cone at 50 meters each in a sqaure, then jog one of the 50 meters, then walk the next 50 meter, sprint the next 50 meters and then walk the last 50 meters. Complete this for 20 miniutes, throughout this you would check your heartrate to make sure you are in the correct training zone and i completed this with people who were at a similar ability to me.
Describe repitition drills
We got into pairs, one person threw the ball to their partner and they played backhand back to their partner and repeated this 10x, we then swapped over, trying to aim for the back tram lines of the court.
Forehand feed to partner 10x. partner returned the shot with a backhand, then swapped over.
We then done a backhand rally where we could only use backhands to play back to our partner as much as we could, we did this for 10 miniutes and see how mnay we could get in that time.
Describe a monitoring method
Retesting.
i do the 30 meter sprint test then after about 4 weeks i retested this, and then again 4 weeks after that. For the restesting i made sure i did it at the same time, with the same weather conditions, in the same place and by myself. I compares the results to check if i was improving.
Describe two priorities you identified at the start of your PDP
At the start of my PDP, i identified that i need to control my anger since when i get frustarted i start shouting and swearing at my own teammates. I want to improve my anger from a 2/10 to 10/10. I want to be able to control my anger against my team. This means that if i can control with them and play good as a whole team, which is more effective than falling out with the team.
