What is a dermatome?
SENSORY.
A unilateral area of skin innervated by the nerve fibers of single spinal nerve that originated from a single spinal cord segment.
How many spinal nerves are there? Total and each side.

Thumb, lateral forearm

Middle finger

What is a myotome?
MOTOR.
A muscle innervated by the nerve fibers of a single spinal nerve that originated from a single spinal cord segment.

Upper extremity abductors (deltoid, biceps brachii)
Raise arms out laterally
Myotome of C6?
Forearm flexors (biceps brachii. brachioradialis) Doing a curl with weights
Myotome of C7?
Forearm extensor, wrist extensors, finger extensors
Tricep press
Myotome of C8?
Intrinsic hand muscles
