Bulla
localised collection of fluid in the epidermis
usually >5mm diameter
petechiae
small spots of blood (1-2mm diameter) caused by small haemorrhages
do not blanch on pressure
Plaque
elevated patch or flat area of skin usually >5mm diameter
Nodule
palpable solid or round lesion usually >1cm diameter
and deeper in skin than papule
Annular
Ring-like
desquamation
skin coming off in scales
Discoid
filled in circle (nummular)
Erythema
Redness of the skin
Erosion
partial loss of epithelial layer
excoriation
Trauma from scratching
