What was the aim of the Lebensborn programme?
The aim was to have SS soldiers impregnate women who stayed in hostels to give birth to “racially pure” babies.
What was Hitler’s Policy of autarky?
- Complete economic self - sufficiency
- A 4 year plan designed to increase production.
- Reducing unemployment by creating new jobs in factories
What was the “Strength through Joy” programme?
A programme which rewarded workers who were working extra hard with various rewards, such as pay raises or cruises.
How was the German Labour Front effective in reducing unemployment?
This scheme forced people who were over 18 to do at least 6 months work in any war related jobs, such as factories.
Give an example of a group which had opposed the Hitler Youth.
Edelweiss pirates (Attacked the Hitler Youth often.)
How was school in Nazi Germany tweaked for each gender?
(Boys) - Boys were taught subjects such as PE, and also marching and boxing, to build them up to become a soldier.
(Girls) - They were taught subjects like baking and cookery, which prepared them for life as a housewife.

A programme which killed the mentally ill and handicapped people via lethal injections.

Concentration camps - They were sent there to work and suffer. If they were released, stories would spread and so would fear.
