Antidepressant onset
Typically can take weeks to see clinical effects
Criteria for diagnosis of MDD
Depressed mood and/or diminished interest or pleasure and at least 4 of the other symptoms of MDD in the same 2 week period

Neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS)
Caused by: dopamine antagonists
Initiation of symptoms: days to weeks

Serotonin syndrome (SS)
Caused by: serotonin agonists
Initiation of symptoms: Hours
Duration of symptoms: usually 24 hours

TCA adverse effects
Anticholinergic effects: dry mouth, constipation, confusion, urinary retention, dry eye
Orthostatic hypotenstion, drowsiness/dizziness
Arrhythmia
Withdrawal can have cholinergic rebound

Sexual dysfunction
Triazolopyridine Indication
MDD, sleep aid
Triazolopyridine MOA
Selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, blocks alpha-1 and histamine receptors
Triazolopyridine Adverse Effects
Dizziness
Sedation
Cognitive slowing
Serotonin syndrome
SSRI indication
