A

Crestal incision
Full thickness flap elevation
Penetration of cortical bone with a round bur
A hole is drilled approx 6mm deep
X-ray taken with a parallel pin to evaluate drilling direction
Ostectomy is finalized to final length and diameter
Implant is torqued in manually with ratchet or by using a handpiece

When is the first post-op visit and what occurs during it?

A

7-10 days following implant placement
Check for signs of infection
CHx use and review of OHI with ultra-soft post-surgical treatment
Remove sutures (if necessary)
If healing is WNL, reschedule for 2-4 weeks
