Dental aspects relating to renal patients Flashcards

1
Q

What are the main points we must consider when taking a history from a patient with renal failure

  1. History of diabetes mellitus
  2. Has the patient got CKD?
  3. Are there any related bone disorders (renal osteodystrophy)? 4. The possibility of anaemia
  4. Questions relating to dialysis: type, frequency, is there an arterio-venous fistula?
  5. Has the patient had a transplant? If so: when was the transplant carried out?
