Q

how does gas have pressure?

A

it is dependent on the motion of gas particles. gas particles will strike the walls of a container and a net pressure of the gas will be produced at right angles to the wall

Q

how does temperature affect the gas temperature

A

as temperature increases so does the pressure. this is because it will cause the gas molecules to have a greater kinetic energy so that they can move faster. this increases the collisions between the molecules and the wall so that more force is exerted on the same area each second. so pressure is increased

Q

why does lowering pressure increases the pressure

A

as it means that there will be more particles in the same area. this will increase the frequency of collisions between the gas particles and the walls of the container so pressure increases
