Includes the birth rates , death rates, and natural increase and is split into 5 different stages

Model : simplified version of reality

A

Population begins to increase as death rates fall due to the improvement in medicine and sanitations

  • Population is still increasing but more slowly now as birth rates fall due to increased acess to contraception and family planning, improvement in health care
  • Death rate continues to fall but at a slower rate than at stage two

A

Population is now high but as birth rates and death rates are now low, the rate of population change is steadier than before
