immobility pain - worse at end of day (cheif co) muscle spasm and pot inflammation stiff in AM <30 mins crepitus- grading sounds

weight reduction (IBW)- press Heat or ice Joint rest ortotic devices (slpit or knee brace) TENS (elctro) music therapy PT or OT

ESR and C react protein - slight elev r/t syosis
xray- structural changes

meds

acetominphen(main), NSAIDs COX-2 inhib for clients at risk for GI bleed/ may monitor GI bleed opiods intra articular steriods capsaicin- topical analgesics GLucosamin and chondrotin Viscosuplement - short term gel lube
