What is building pathology?
The study of building defects, performance and failure resulting in the remedies
What is communication?
The exchange of information by speaking, writing, or using some other medium.

Person or organisation using the services of another company professional

A discussion aimed at reaching an agreement
What is maintenance management?
The process of maintaining assets and resources to ensure good organisation, maintenance and improvements to properties
What is planned maintenance?
Proactive approach, work is scheduled to take place at a specific time
What is cyclical maintenance?
Maintenance work is provided at periodic intervals, regardless of demand and stock condition
What is a disallowable cost?
Costs that can be deducted if they do not follow the terms set out within contract such as poor workmanship or work outside the scope
What is a lump sum contract?
Contractor agrees to provide specified services for a fixed price
What is a JCT contract?
Form of lump sum contract made between employer and contractor to deliver a building project
What is a service level agreement?
Agreement that clearly defines the scope of work and exactly what the contractor will deliver to the customer.
What is a framework agreement?
Umbrella agreement to establish a long-term relationship with two or more parties
What is professionalism?
Skill, judgement and type of behaviour that is expected of a person who is trained to do a job.
What is negligence?
An individual fails to fulfil their professional obligations
