Abuse
Willful infliction of injury, unreasonable restraint, intimidation or punishment with resulting physical harm, pain, or mental anguish
Assault
Threatening to touch, or attempting to touch a person without proper consent
Basic human rights
Rights protected by the US Constitution and state that a person has the right to be treated with respect, live in dignity, pursue a meaningful life, and be free of fear

Not disclosing personal or private information, except to authorized people

Right to decide what will/won’t happen to body and who can touch the body, includes verbal, written, and implied consent

Deals with crimes against society and public
Defamation
False statement made to a third person that causes shame, ridicule, or harm to a person’s reputation
Written = libel
Spoken = slander

Making known to the public

Unlawful restriction/restraining of a person’s movement

Intentional deception with knowledge that deceit could lead to gain for self/others
