Public health refers to all organized measures (whether public or private) to prevent disease, promote health, and prolong life among the population as a whole.

Biomedical model?
Disease causes change in body, the illnesses arise from biological changes(patients are victims). Treatment(surgery, vaccinations) is aimed to change physical state and is done by medical professionals.
Health and illness have no continuum, mind and body exist separately.
Biopsychosocial model?
Illness is caused by multiple factor and individual is not a victim. Treatment is done on the whole person and patient is responsible.
Health and illness exist on a continuum, mind and body can be interconnected.
Dichotomous concept?
Person — other symptoms -YES- Sick
-NO- Healthy
