O- medial part- posterior surface o the tibia and interosseous membrane
lateral part- proximal posterior surface of the fibula
I- tubercle on medial side of navicular and plantar surface of medial cuneiform
A- inversion of foot support of the medial longitudinal arch
Tibial arch L4-L5
Flexor Digitorum Longus
O- medial aspect, posterior surface of tibia
I- 4 tendons to plantar aspect of the bases of distal phalanges
A- flexion of toes 2-5 at DIP joint, PIP joint and MTP joint
assits plantarflexion of the foot
Tibial Nerve L5, S1,S2
Flexor Hallucis Longus
O- Lower 2/3 of posterior surface of fibula and interosseous membrane
I- plantar surface of the base of the distal phalanx of the great toe
A- extends all joints of great toe
dorsiflexor
Tibial nerve S1,S2
