Full time are expensive to pay, but valuable for the whole working week.Part time staff are less expensive, and usually more motivated than full time.

Job is formal title of the job, main duties and purpose.Person lists the qualitifications, experience and attitudes.

When a firm advertises for a job within the work place. Ad: it’s cheaper, the post can be filled quickly and the employee already knows the firm well. Disad: no new ideas, the promotion may leave another vacancy.

1) Managers make a shortlist of the best applicants, who are invited for an interview.2) Interviewers ask all the candidates the same questions so it’s fair. These must be relevant to the job.3) Interviews assess the candidates skills and see if they will fit in with existing candidates.
What is the difference between a time rate and a piece rate?
A time rate pays workers by the hour, can make employees work slowly. A piece rate is used if output of each worker can be easily measured. But can be bad as if they work too fast the quality could go down.

A commission- employees earn a small basic salary and then earn more money for every item they sell. A bonus- is a lump sum added to pay, usually once a year, if employee has met their performance targets A pension- each month the business makes payments into a pension fund each month.

A fringe benefit is any rewards that isn’t a part of a workers main income. Non financial.Examples: company car, gym membership, daily meal allowance or free health insurance.

Job enlargement: giving a productive member of staff more tasks to do. This makes the job more varied and interesting, they can also feel more valued. Job enrichment: giving an employee more responsibility e.g. Supervising new staff.
